There are many hindu temples located in Muar, Two of the largest are located in the
town. Muar Muthumariamman Temple, located at 29 Jalan Mohammadiah, Muar held its consecration ceremony between 8.45am and
9.45am on 2.7.2006. muarindian thank, Former Temple President Mr. S.Chelvarajan P.I.S and his team for the wonderful
job. muarindian also takes this opportunity to salute 2 brothers Dr. I Balachandran and Mr I G Chandran for
their contribution of RM500,000.00 and efforts which led to the successful completion of the temple, which today stands

There
are many hotels in Muar, Muar Traders Inn is now open. It is located at the former UMNO building, opposite HSBC Muar. Mann’s
chalet is already operational. Other new commercial development expected include
a private hospital and shopping centre on the northern bank of Muar
River, on reclaimed land.
Although
there are many popular restaurants and eating places in Muar , we still do not have any Class A, air conditioned Indian restaurant.

There are many fine Indian people in Muar and around the world who have at some
time lived in Muar. Although It will be almost impossible to list them all, muarindian will attempt to mention some:-

Singapore, Sellapan Ramanathan is said to have spent his childhood with his three older sisters and parents in Muar,
Johor. Nathen and his wife Urmila Nandey visited Muar Muthu
Mariamman Temple on Sunday 10 June 2007.
